Canoeing at Ichetucknee Springs
Ichetucknee Springs State Park is a wonderful place to enjoy a peaceful canoe or kayak excursion.
Canoeing is permitted year-round at both the North and South entrances of Ichetucknee Springs State Park, and is one of the best ways to enjoy the river. You can bring your own canoe (), or rent one from one of the local vendors outside the park.
There is a $5 fee per person for canoeing inside the state park.
During the summer, a shuttle service is available in the park. During the off season, you will need to arrange your own transportation with a local canoe outfitter, or private vehicles. Many people consider the off season to be the best time for canoeing and kayaking, since the summer months, especially weekends, attract a large crowd of intertubers.
Canoers must always yield right-of-way to tubers.
